My Book is Now Available!

51Osd7QSDELI am happy to announce that my book “Ruthie” is now published and available.

The book is a memoir of my mother’s experience with ALS, a difficult, debilitating, and progressive illness.  The story takes the reader on a personal journey of symptoms and mis-diagnoses, and it follows the progression of this disease as her body deteriorates.  It also includes difficult, and at times volatile, family interactions, and is a very raw and personal view of what we went through.

This book brings a personal perspective and many insights to an issue that is not often discussed.  As uncomfortable as it was to expose what we personally went through as a family, I have not pulled any punches, and I have put it all out there for the world to see.

In addition to the struggles, this book lets people know that they are not alone, and it file000356994816[1]offers helpful suggestions to others dealing with a similar illness, in order to help other families navigate their way through this type of struggle.

This book would appeal to anyone dealing with a difficult or progressive illness, or anyone interested in a personal view of ALS and how it affects the rest of the family.

My book is available through and Barnes & Noble. It will be available shortly through Kindle as well.

Embrace what life brings you, and find joy and blessings in each day.

Wishing you all much love and peace.

Just wanted to know if any of the proceeds go to
ALS? I would be interested to know. I lost my
    husband last year to ALS.

    Thank You

Thank you for your comment and question, Theresa. And I am so very sorry for your loss – my heart goes out to you. I am definitely donating some of the proceeds to ALS, and I also donate to ALS on my own and support them. They are a great organization – and we need more funding for research to help find a cure. So thank you for asking – I will post this as well so others will know. Thank you! ❤
