Trust Your Wings

Trust Your Wings.  I love the following quote: “A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking, because its trust is not in the branch but in its own wings.”

bb9Maybe this is a great reminder that we should trust our own wings as well. Our trust should not be on the outside world, of which we have no control. Our trust should be on our own strengths and abilities, our inner guidance, our own wings.

To me, this is also trusting in Universal Energy, Love, Source, All That Is, God. I believe all of that works through us, in us, as us, and is not separate from us. I believe all of that manifests in us as our wings.

Trust in your strength – to handle whatever happens. To bounce back from adversity and to work through difficulties. You are stronger than you think.

IMG_2949Trust in your abilities to face and overcome obstacles and move through stuck places. You are more resilient than you think.

Trust that no matter how many times you fall, you can get back up again and that you can be stronger and more than you were before. You are more powerful than you think.

Trust that you are always learning – from mistakes, from difficulties, from your experience, and from all of Life. You are smarter than you think.

Trust in your integrity, your creativity, and your unique and special gifts. You are more valuable, wondrous and radiant than you think.

Trust in your own wings. Your wings are your Higher Self, your spirit guides, your connection to Source. It is always there for you, always helping you, always with your best interest and highest good at heart.

Trust your wings. Let us all fly.

  1. All of your writing is lovely, but this one resonates even more deeply than the others. Wings have special significance for me, and mine have never failed me except when I’m clinging to a branch.

Thank you, Dixie, I really appreciate your comment! And I love your statement – “except when I’m clinging to a branch” – oh, yes – I totally agree, for me, too. Sometimes it is hard to let go of the branch. And that is when we most need to trust our own wings. Thanks – with much love! ❤

Lynn, this is such a beautiful post and some very wise words. I never heard that particular quote before about the bird and trusting it’s wings and not the branch and I really like it. Your posts have always been timely for me personally, and this one is no exception…. Thank you for your beautify words. ❤
